Headmaster releases

Track the latest updates and features. Headmaster ships continuously with improvements to agent capabilities, integrations, security, and performance.

2026-11-02

Headmaster 1.2.17Tidier Settings and a quicker, steadier start

  • •Settings are now grouped into You, Your agent, This app, This computer and Advanced, so things are easier to find.
  • •The account menu in the sidebar has a cleaner look and shows which workspace you are in.
  • •Headmaster remembers whether you last used Cloud or Work and opens straight into it, without showing a sign-in retry screen first.
  • •Switching to Cloud after signing out and back in no longer gets stuck on "Connecting".
  • •The model you pick now shows its right name in the picker straight away.
  • •Work mode connects to its models more reliably.
  • •Old versions left behind by earlier updates are now cleared out.
2026-11-02

Headmaster 1.2.16Smoother updates and a Work tab that connects

  • •After an update, Headmaster now shows an "Updating Headmaster" window straight away while it gets ready, instead of leaving you with nothing on screen. If something goes wrong, the window stays up with Try again and Quit.
  • •The Work tab no longer gets stuck on "Connecting…".
  • •Headmaster now keeps its own working files apart, so it runs cleanly next to other agent software installed on the same computer.
  • •Old versions are cleared out after Headmaster opens, which frees up disk space.
2026-11-02

Headmaster 1.2.15The desktop pet is back for everyone

  • •The Pet settings page, the Show desktop pet switch and the floating pet are available again on every install, so you can turn the pet on straight away.
  • •Built-in add-ons that only run in the app no longer leave a false load error in your agent's logs when it starts.
2026-11-01

Headmaster 1.2.14Cleaner logs and a simpler, safer update path

  • •Log files and version output now use Headmaster's own names throughout, so nothing technical from the engine shows up when you share them.
  • •The Work engine ships only inside the app, so every update brings the exact engine that version was tested with.
  • •The engine folder and launchers on your PC now carry neutral names.
2026-11-01

Headmaster 1.2.13The Work engine is ready the moment the app is installed

  • •The installer now sets up the Work engine, so the first launch after installing or updating has nothing left to wait for.
  • •If the engine still needs a moment, the app shows real progress while it unpacks and checks it.
  • •Old engine copies from earlier versions are cleaned up automatically, which frees several gigabytes on a PC that has updated many times.
2026-10-31

Headmaster 1.2.12Switching between Cloud and Work waits for nothing, and a first install no longer gives up early

  • •Cloud and Work stay connected side by side, so switching between them is instant.
  • •A first install no longer gives up while the Work engine is still being set up on a slow PC.
  • •Updating over an existing install no longer flashes a "Finishing update" screen for a moment.
  • •The sign-in code boxes are easier on a phone: a Paste code button, no keyboard flicker, and your keyboard's suggested code fills in.
  • •Sign-in screens now say that sign-up is open during the beta, with a Sign up link.
2026-10-31

Headmaster 1.2.11A calmer start for a new workspace and a restart prompt that stays

  • •When your workspace is still starting, Headmaster waits and retries instead of showing a connect error straight away.
  • •If a launch is refused, the message now says why, and you can sign out from that screen.
  • •After you change a messaging setting, the restart prompt stays on screen until you restart.
  • •Log files and console lines show Headmaster, nothing else.
2026-10-31

Headmaster 1.2.10A fixed updater and a better phone layout

  • •Updating the app no longer stops with "Background messaging could not pause".
  • •On a phone, side panes such as the Box terminal sit under the chat instead of squeezing it.
  • •Settings and other pop-ups fill the phone screen.
  • •A tab's close button stays visible on touch screens, so the Box terminal can be closed.
2026-10-30

Headmaster 1.2.9Work mode fixed, a terminal side pane and a tidier Usage page

  • •Work mode starts on your computer again instead of falling back to Cloud.
  • •The Box terminal opens in a side pane beside your chat instead of a pop-up.
  • •Settings closes with Escape and the X button again.
  • •Hiring from the Staff Room works in the browser app.
  • •Once your phone is linked, WhatsApp shows the linked number, and the linked device is named Headmaster in WhatsApp.
  • •Older chats started from your phone resume instead of starting a new chat.
  • •Usage lists Headmaster Lite and Pro, not the models behind them.
2026-10-30

Headmaster 1.2.8Edit your agents, link WhatsApp and a tidier app

  • •Edit an agent on the Bots page: change its name, description, shape, colour and picture.
  • •Link your phone to WhatsApp from the app by scanning a QR code.
  • •Hiring from the Staff Room works again in Cloud, and every role now comes with a real set of skills.
  • •Discover has Featured, New and category views, plus a Techstack row of extensions you can add.
  • •Skills are grouped by category, with a page for each skill.
  • •The ring in the message box opens a breakdown of how much of the conversation your agent is using.
  • •Split view keeps session tabs in every chat pane, and New window opens a new session tab.
  • •Admins get the Admin Panel as a Settings section and a movable dock on every screen.
  • •The app is tidier: no status bar, a new layout button, and Customize carries the same name everywhere.
  • •Work mode starts on the bundled runtime when the copy on your computer is out of date, instead of failing.
  • •Pinch to resize your pet, and tap it for a menu with a size slider and Hide pet.
  • •Error messages name Headmaster instead of a technical provider name.
  • •On the command line, `headmaster login`, `whoami`, `agent`, `wallet` and `doctor` work with your Headmaster account, and `headmaster chat` can open your agent in Cloud.
2026-10-29

Headmaster 1.2.7A fresh look, two-step sign-in and the Admin Panel in the app

  • •The whole app has a fresh look: cleaner switches, menus, tabs and dialogs, an icon on every settings row, and a light, dark or system theme switch in Appearance.
  • •The sidebar is simpler: your account sits flat at the bottom with a compact menu, and Agents and Customize are one click away.
  • •Turn on two-step sign-in in Account settings, and Headmaster asks for the six-digit code from your authenticator app each time you sign in.
  • •Closing the window now keeps Headmaster running in the tray, so your agent stays reachable; minimize works like any other app.
  • •Work mode starts on your computer again instead of dropping back to Cloud every time you open the app.
  • •Headmaster no longer takes over the command line of other agent tools you installed yourself.
  • •Admins can open the Admin Panel right inside the app to see users, agents, health, quotas, live agent logs and releases.
  • •Discover has 18 more extensions and 17 more apps to add, shown as tidy rows in two columns, and lists only what you can install.
  • •Customize uses the full window, each add-on shows its own icon, and the settings under a voice or meeting add-on sit neatly beneath its switch.
  • •Image previews and exporting a chat now work in every conversation.
2026-10-27

Headmaster 1.2.6Connect WhatsApp, admin codes and clearer settings

  • •Connect WhatsApp from Customize: WhatsApp now leads the messaging list, and your agent answers your WhatsApp chats.
  • •If you are an admin, the app's admin tools now ask for the six-digit code from your authenticator app before they open.
  • •Live voice shows which sign-ins each voice service takes, and tells you with a Sign in button when the one you picked is signed out.
  • •No more dead ends in Settings: an empty model menu tells you to sign in or add a key, and each key shows Set or Not set.
  • •An installed extension that needs a key shows Add key, which takes you straight to where it goes.
  • •Customize and Settings look cleaner, with flat rows, plain status words and each connected app's own logo.
  • •Every extension, skill, app and add-on now has its own icon.
2026-10-27

Headmaster 1.2.5An Extensions store, an Apps shelf and Cua Spaces, all in Customize

  • •Skills, Extensions, Connected apps and Messaging now sit together on one Customize page, so Settings is shorter and easier to scan.
  • •The list of featured extensions now stays up to date without waiting for an app update.
  • •Extensions is now a store: browse cards with what each one does, filter by shelf, see which need a key or run in Work only, and read what an extension can do before you install it.
  • •An extension with a newer version shows Update available. An update that asks for more access waits until you allow it.
  • •A new Apps shelf on Connected apps lists popular apps you can connect with one browser sign-in. Add account connects a second account of the same app.
  • •Cua Spaces (an Extension, off until you turn it on) lets your agent work on its own computer in the cloud instead of yours. In Work mode you install it, sign in to Cua, choose to run work in a Space and watch it live. In Cloud you sign in from its Extensions card.
  • •Messages from your admin show as a bar under the title bar, and you can close them.
  • •The app's wording now fits any organization.
  • •Extensions you added to the app's folder yourself now stay off until you switch each one on. After updating, any you already had show as off: switch each one on once to keep using it.
  • •On Windows, keys and logins you save in the app are now encrypted by default. You can change this in Settings.
  • •The app is locked down further: it only loads its own pages and content it trusts, and it won't save files over its own parts or your extensions.
  • •Closing the last chat window asks before it closes the app.
  • •If the app was closed unexpectedly, it opens again cleanly instead of being blocked by the copy that didn't shut down.
  • •Quitting the app finishes its background work faster.
  • •In Work mode, a moment of silence while you dictate is no longer typed out as "thank you".
  • •Work mode runs on the newest release of the engine Headmaster is built on, with its fixes and improvements.
2026-10-26

Headmaster 1.2.4Work mode starts every time

  • •Work waits for a fresh engine to finish installing instead of giving up after an update.
  • •Stuck on connecting? Tap "Use Cloud instead" and keep going.
  • •Work warms up in the background after sign-in, so switching is quicker.
  • •Admins get Kanban and Council back.
  • •A new Wallet page: your balance, how long your hosting lasts, and tokens per profile and model.
  • •Live voice works in Cloud too. Say "yes" or "no" out loud to answer an approval.
  • •Pick a reply language and your profiles answer in it.
  • •Find and play voices before you pick one.
  • •Dark mode gets a calm grey accent, Settings gets roomier, and you can mute app sounds.
  • •See every chat you've shared as a link, and stop sharing with one click.
2026-10-26

Headmaster 1.2.3Settings, rebuilt around you

  • •14 clean Settings pages, the same on desktop, web and iPhone.
  • •Change your photo, name and password, or sign out and delete your account, from one Account page.
  • •Tell Headmaster your name once and every profile knows it.
  • •Export chats from one profile or all of them, and import them on another device.
  • •Clear every chat in one step, or archive them automatically.
  • •One Voice page and one Models page. New models show up without an app update.
  • •Settings that don't work yet are hidden, not left as dead switches.
2026-10-23

Headmaster 1.2.1Back on its feet

  • •Fixes 1.2.0 not opening its window on Windows. Install it over 1.2.0 and everything stays: chats, settings, all of it.
2026-10-23

Headmaster 1.2.0Cloud and Work, side by side

  • •Run Cloud and Work at the same time. A long Work job keeps going while you chat in Cloud.
  • •Share a PC? A second sign-in never sees the first person's chats, drafts or alerts.
  • •Changed your mind about deleting your account? You have 14 days to sign back in and undo it.
  • •Settings save instantly, and the app tells you when your agent has picked them up.
  • •Edit and regenerate messages in Cloud chats.
  • •Take Teams meeting notes with your own Microsoft app. Off until you turn it on.
  • •Open an artifact's folder with the file already selected.
2026-10-19

Headmaster 1.1.9Easier setup, more control

  • •Pick up the setup chat where you left off, and choose your look and layout.
  • •Add vetted Extensions to your Cloud agent and switch features like meeting notes and live voice on or off.
  • •Choose which profiles share skills and pinned notes between Cloud and Work.
  • •See what old chats would be cleared before you confirm, when Cloud space runs low.
  • •Pop a Cloud chat into the HUD and jump back to it later.
  • •Security and stability fixes for chats, tools and memory.
2026-10-18

Headmaster 1.1.8One calm Settings page

  • •Settings is one page that looks the same in Cloud and Work, with Extensions and Tools moved in.
  • •A tidier sidebar, with a compact view if you like it small.
  • •Set your own instructions, reply style and how hard Cloud thinks.
  • •Two more AI providers to sign in with.
  • •In Cloud, only admins flip tool switches. Everyone else sees them read-only.
  • •Pictures show up in Cloud chats.
  • •No more overlapping message box, and security updates under the hood.
2026-10-17

Headmaster 1.1.7Faster setup and the Studio look

  • •Work mode ships inside the installer, so first setup is quicker and sturdier.
  • •The Work engine is checked against a signed release before it runs.
  • •Studio gets a crisper sidebar and tabs.
  • •Automations in a table: create them from chat, see if the last run worked, and hit Run now. Schedules read like plain English.
  • •Memory becomes a simple notebook, and Knowledge sits next to your Wiki.
  • •Files shows what your agent made, with uploads and downloads. Usage shows tokens per profile and model.
  • •Bot Screen streams the terminal live and wakes up when a reply starts.
  • •Give your Cloud agent a pet. Work profiles get characters too.
  • •Grouped history, a movable getting-started list, and loading rows with a Retry button.
2026-10-13

Headmaster 1.1.5Cleaner, faster, sturdier

  • •A fresh coat of paint on Settings, Kanban, Memory, Artifacts, messaging and Bot Screen.
