Pricing and credits
The desktop app and Work mode are free. Cloud hosting and the Headmaster models are paid from a prepaid wallet you top up, with no subscription.

How the wallet works
- Every new account gets $1 of credit when it is approved, enough to run the smallest Cloud agent for about two days.
- You add credit through PayPal, from $5 to $30 at a time, and up to $300 in 30 days.
- No subscription and no automatic top-up. We only charge when you press the button.
- Hosting and models draw on the wallet. When it runs out your Cloud agent stops, keeping its files, and adding a day's worth of credit starts it again.
- Prices are in U.S. dollars and we charge no VAT or sales tax.
- Refunds take the same amount off your wallet. The rules are on the refunds page.

Questions
Is Headmaster free?
The desktop app and Work mode are free. Cloud hosting and the Headmaster models cost credit from your wallet, at the prices above. Models you connect with your own keys are billed by their provider.
What is the difference between Lite and Pro?
Headmaster Lite is the fast default for every account. Headmaster Pro is more capable for longer and harder tasks. Both are charged at the model cost plus 25%. During the beta they also have usage limits. When you hit one, Headmaster tells you and offers Connect your provider so you can keep going with your own model. Daily limits reset the next day. Monthly limits reset on the 1st.
What happens when my wallet runs out?
Your Cloud runtime and the Headmaster models stop until you add credit. Work mode on your PC keeps working, because it does not use the wallet.
Can I get my money back?
Unspent credit is refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of paying. Spent credit is not, unless we charged you in error. Details are on the refunds page.
Does Work mode need Cloud approval?
No. Work mode runs on your PC and works without Cloud approval. It can reach the files in the folder you choose, and it stops when your PC is off. Cloud mode runs in your private hosted workspace and keeps going when your PC is off.
Where do my messages go?
To the model you picked, so it can answer. With Headmaster models, that is our model service. With your own provider, it goes to that provider. Memory is private to your account.
